September 11-13

This weekend was busy but relaxing at the same time. It went by so fast though! Friday, I went to the Belen vs Columbus game at the FIU stadium with Caro... it was BORING. Columbus won though =) Afterwards, Caro and I watched the Season Finale of Secret Life. It was really good! She went home and we both knocked out. Saturday, I went to teh movies with Caro and we saw Sorority Row... we left 15 minutes into the movie LOL. We went to Johnny Rockets after and our waiter looked like Akon; it truns out that was his nickname. HAHAHA We layed down on her bed and talked for a little while; her mom and dad kept calling us lazy! I babysat the cutest little boys that night. Sunday was my mom's birthday and Miguel's girlfriend's birthday! My family and I went to Church and then to breakfast at Casavana with my best friend, Michael. I did homework the rest of the afternoon. We went to Benihana, one of my favorite restaurants and sang my mom Happy Birthday... the end =)

Labor Day weekend

This past weekend was a lot of fun. My family and I stayed at the Ritz in Key Biscayne. The hotel was super nice and the weather was pretty descent for the most part. It rained a little bit on Saturday but Sunday and Monday it was really sunny. I put tons of sunblock on my face so I don't have a sunburn on my face, but I do have a sunburn on my back.... OUCH! Saturday night, I stayed in and babysat my little brothers and my dad's partners kids. His wife tried paying me $50! Oh, and the hotel gave complementary fruit... I had like 3 green apples everyday hahaha. Now, I'm back to reality... at school everyday until the weekend rolls around again

Spiritual Emphasis

Spiritual Emphasis week was amazing. I loved the praise and worship during chapel. The group was very energetic and many people joined in. I especially liked Juliette's performance yesterday. From what I understood. The sin (the Devil) was pulling her away from Jesus as she was trying to get closer to Him. I also liked what George said about us forgiving people because a lot of people spoke together and reconciled. It also helped me when we dropped the rocks into the water buckets symbolizing that we were going to rededicate our lives to Jesus and telling Him we were sorry for our sins. I though Spiritual Emphasis week was great this year.

I have sooo much homework! I have to do all of today and tomorrow's homework before Friday because I can't take books to the beach! Let's hope I can prioritize my time! I MISS MRS. MARTINEZ!!!

Bible Study

Yesterday, Kathy and Illeana lead Women's Bible Study and the lesson they preached on was truly inspring. It was about how sometimes, although our main focus is God, we sometimes get distratced because of all the other influences and things we have going on in our lives. For example, Kathy used all her AP & Honors classes and the many extra-curricualar activities she is involved in sometimes distract her from her devotions. I found it inspiring and uplifting to realize that it doesn't only happen to me. Also, Illeana showed us this book called Crazy Love which is inspiring me to read so that I can learn more about God's power and love.

Wake me up when September ends

I am definately not going to sell sweaters in the morning! I was late again today for 1st hour and I missed important information for my test tmrw! Yesterday I stayed up studying for an AP Government test last hour, and then I find out that I have to leave early today for an eye doctors appointment... thank God though because I am as blind as a bat! I have a new walking/running buddy.... Miguel! I have 5 million tests and quizzes today, so wish me luck on all of them... and to whoever else has 5 million tests and quizzes, GOOD LUCK TO YOU AS WELL! =D
